Writing Spells
 

What I'm calling writing spells is my basic generic way of casting spells. It's also my way of praying. To begin, an example. Sit down with some paper, writing supplies and whatever mood elements you need, the mood stuff is important. Spell casting is sending your wish into the universe and being in the right mood is a real help. Mood stuff might mean lighting a candle or sprinkling cinnamon around the room (for purification and because it smells nice!). Mood stuff could be putting on ritual clothing or ritually washing yourself first.

Sit down, I like to sit on the ground but that's just my personal favourite. The grass is especially nice but wherever you are most comfortable is best. Take out a sheet of paper and start writing whatever comes to mind. Write whatever you've been thinking about, a spell you wanted to cast. Ask the divine being for advice, ask your inner self for advice.

Sometimes I like writing all my questions, comments and complaints to the Goddess in one colour. Then, whenever my intuition starts to give me a reply, I switch to another colour and write the answer. Other times I'll choose colour based on the colour's qualities. (For example, Ill write a request for peace of mind in blue.) Sometimes I like to write in weird patterns around in a spiral or just in a sort of maze where I turn my paper around as I write. Again, I write whatever comes to mind  and whatever I think the Goddess is trying to tell me.

Sometimes I will write out a request for something. Ill write it as specifically or as generally as I feel like. I might ask the Goddess that such-and-such thing happens. I might ask the Goddess for strength, wisdom or for her to help me deal with a situation. Often I'll write out exactly how I want things to be a few given weeks,  fold up the paper and seal it away in a special glass pyramid I have for the purpose. Then open it up a few weeks down the road to discover to my delight that everything is exactly the way I wanted it to be, or better!
