I Summon Thee, Truth

Use in situations where you know someone is hiding the truth, you just can't find out what it is.

You will need:

White candle (purity)
Dark blue candle (justice)
Pale blue candle (truth)
Silver glitter
High John the Conquerer oil AND incense
Here’s what to do:

Bless ingredients. Empower candles with intent. Anoint with the High Conquering oil. Arrange them in a triangle with the Truth candle at the apex, and gently sprinkle silver glitter around each, saying,

Purity hereon;
Justice be done;
Truth be won:
Come to me!

Burn the incense and concentrate on calling the truth of the situation out into the open.

Do this spell when the moon is waning in the third quarter.


Finish That Project!

You will need:

· Red candle
· Pinch each of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, vervain
Here’s what to do:

Bless supplies. Empower candle with the need for action. Blend the herbs and burn on charcoal.

Chant the following to raise energy:
Air blow, Fire burn,
Get up and go, wheel turn,
Water flow, Earth turn,
Project finished, move on, learn!

When energy is high, toss a pinch of herb mixture into the candle flame and release the energy. Now go work on the project immediately!

Perform this spell when the moon is full; for extra kick, the moon should be in Aries or Virgo.


Spell for Tolerance and Peace

This spell has been created specifically for encouraging peace to return to areas of religious intolerance. It can easily be adapted for calming any violent situation such as wars, occupations and racial intolerance as well. You will need:

Two white altar candles
A statue, postcard, image or some other representation of a dove
Myrtle herb (fresh or dried)
One white rose
One white remembrance candle
Pile on the altar as an offering violets (fresh or dried), and/or loosestrife (fresh or dried). To begin, cleanse your space with sage, salt and water, frankincense or some other kind of purifying substance. You may wish to use a besom to signify that you intend to sweep negative energy and influence away from the situation. Cleanse and consecrate all supplies. Ground and centre. Light your two altar candles with the intent of bringing warmth, safety and light to the situation. Cast a circle in your own fashion if you use one. Invoke a peace-bringing deity of your choice - Athena, goddess of wisdom is a good choice, as She is also a protector and warrior.

God(dess) wise,
Bringer of peace and harmony
Look upon this conflict with gracious mien.
Let the oppressor and the oppressed see eye to eye
And heart to heart.
Let minds broaden, Rifts narrow;
Let violence cease And Harmony reign.

Take the image of the dove and hold it in your hands. Visualise peace descending upon the two opposing forces, weapons being thrown down, and captives being released in safety. See justice balancing the situation - not revenge, but an acceptance of consequences. Place your hands upon the bowl of myrtle; empower it with energy, activating its peaceful vibrations to reach forth and stir the energies of the universe with peaceful intentions. Spread it on your altar and place the image of the dove upon it. As you do so, see your peaceful intents fly out into the world on the wings of a dove of reconciliation. Around the base of the white remembrance candle, sprinkle the rosemary. Light the candle solemnly.

Into your arms, Gracious Goddess,
Welcome the souls of the victims of this conflict.
Grant them peace, soothe their pain,
Wash them in the sea of dreams
And let them live again In harmony, tolerance and peace.

Allow the white candle to burn down all the way. When it is done, take the candle end, the rosemary and the myrtle to a body of running water, and throw them in. See the movement of the water flowing through the herbs, taking them to where their peaceful and memorial energies are needed most. This spell may be repeated as often as necessary, for as many different conflicts as you like. Keep the image of the dove somewhere where you can see it, so that it may remind you that peace is a fragile creature requiring as much positive energy as you can spare to be maintained.


Reconciliation Spell

When to do it: For friends who have had a misunderstanding, this will clear negativity.

You will need:

Blue candle (for peace and healing)
Lavender (for peace and purification)
Sugar
A rose (healing, love)
Lavender oil
Here’s what to do:

Bless ingredients. Anoint the candle with the oil.

Chant:

Spirit, grant us clear minds and steady hearts,
a new road, and light burdens.
As I will, so mote it be.

Sprinkle the sugar in a circle around the candle, saying,
May our words and thoughts be sweet once more.
Sprinkle lavender in a circle outside the sugar, saying,
May our souls know peace.
Sprinkle rose petals in a circle outside the lavender, saying,
May our hearts know love again.

Note that this spell does not bring you and your friend together again, nor does it dictate your actions. It merely asks that each heart be healed.


Scrying Spell


Are your Tarot cards confusing you? Runes just don’t do it for you? There are easier ways to perform divination if you feel you need guidance.

When to do it: The night of the full moon, or the night previous or following.

You will need:

A silver bowl or basin (a metal mixing bowl will do just fine!)
Water
Three drops of black ink
A small quartz crystal
What to do:

Go outside to a quiet place if possible. If not, do this by a window where you can see the full moon.
Ground and center.
Pour the water into the bowl, chanting:
Goddess of the soaring moon

Grant to me this simple boon

Show to me what I must see

Reveal to me that which shall be.

4. Drop in the three drops of black ink, saying:

Whence do I come?

Where do I stand?

Whence shall I go?

5. Hold the crystal in your hands and lift it up to the moonlight.
6. Close your eyes and empower the stone with your desire for guidance. Drop the crystal into the bowl and say:

Let me see!

So mote it be!

7. Clear your mind, close your eyes, and breathe calmly. When you feel ready, open your eyes and gaze at the bowl. You may receive your answer in the form of mental images, thoughts, emotions, a change in your physical environment…

8. Write your impressions down right away, before you forget them. Don’t trust your memory!

9. Thank the Goddess for her help, pour the water out at the base of a tree and save the crystal for your next scrying.



Easing Cash Flow Problems

When to do it: Can be used if money is irregular, or to restore frozen flow (i.e., to be repaid money owed)

You will need:

· Brown candle (prosperity)
· An orange (money, happiness)
· Slip of paper and pen
· Cinnamon, dried orange peel, basil, patchouli, vervain (all money and active-oriented herbs)
· A dollar coin
Here’s what to do:

Bless supplies. Empower the brown candle with the desire for money. On the slip of paper, write "money come, money flow, money dance, money grow", or any prosperity-themed chant of your choice. Wrap the dollar coin in the slip of paper. Blend the herbs; sprinkle a pinch into the paper packet. Make a slice about halfway into the orange; insert the paper-wrapped coin. Burn remaining herbs on charcoal while holding the orange and chanting the same chant you wrote on the paper. Keep the orange on the altar for seven days.

When to perform this spell: ideally, it should be done between first quarter to full moon. On the day of the full moon, remove the dollar and spend it, preferably in aid of some charity cause. Money needs to move to flow! (For maximum benefit the moon should be in Taurus at either the beginning or the end of the seven days.)


Charging an Item

After you have consecrated a tool or item, you should charge it.

Hold the item above your head. Take a moment to feel the swirls of energy around you. You should be able to feel them tug at you like a current in a river.

In a clear voice, say:

Let the sacred powers of the universe unite and fill this (item name) with energy. By the Moon, the Sun, the Earth and the Stars I charge this (item name) to do my will. So Mote it Be! Close your eyes and envision an energy bolt striking the item and causing it to glow. You should feel a subtle vibration while you hold the item.

Your tool is now charged.


Consecrate an Object

Light some incense, preferably myrrh or patchouli and a white candle. You will also need a bowl of water and one of salt. Take the item, cover it with salt, place your right hand over the bowl (unless your left handed, then use your left) and envision a white light leaving your palm and passing through the bowl, washing away all negative energies. Then say:

Blessed Lord and Lady, with salt and smoke I consecrate this tool in your name. Let it serve me well.

Remove the item from the salt, shaking off the salt as you do so, then pass it through the incense smoke, sprinkle it with water, then pass it through the candle flame. Your item is now consecrated.


Protection Against Dream Invaders

There are some people who can invade your dreams, who can travel astrally to your home, or even drain your energy while you sleep.

If you think someone's spirit may be visiting you or your home when you are asleep, try this:

Wrap three fresh apple seeds in a white cloth pouch. Tie the pouch closed. Don't lose the seeds. Safety pin the pouch to the pillow you sleep on. Sleep with the pouch attached to your pillow for seven nights. At the end of the seven nights, remove the three seeds from the pouch and toss them out your front door. On the off chance that a spirit is leaving it's body and travelling to your home, this will make it impossible for it to enter the house.


Protection Chant

If you are feeling uneasy, nervous or threatened, try repeating this chant quietly to yourself.

Divine Goddess, Goddess Divine,
Divine God, God Divine,
If evil dwells within this place,
Please make it leave my space.


Spell to Make an Enemy Move Away

When the moon is in a waning phase, write on white parchment paper (or whatever you have) the full name of the person you want to move, along with birth date if known. Roll up the paper, with a photo if you have one, place inside a bottle of vinegar, then toss into a body of running water, visualize your enemy moving away as the bottle is washed away.

Get a small jar or bottle with a lid.
On a piece of paper draw a house with a big X thru it.
Then write their name on it 9 times, but not inside the house.
Fill with 4 thieves vinegar, cap and cast into a river or ocean.
That is a good one but back it up with splashing War Water on all their outside door knobs
and porches. Do this as you build energy visualizing them packed up and driving away down the street.


Glamour Spell

You need one or more pink candles.
A handheld mirror
Love oil
“Dress” candles in love oil
Next light the candles & stare deeply into the mirror
Visualize the change you want.
Recite this incantation aloud:

"Sacred flame, as you dance
Call upon my sacred glance.
Call upon my second sight,
Give me (fill in what you want here)
With your light.
Blessed flame, shinning bright,
Give me now my second sight.
Power of three, let them see, let them see"


Lemon Uncrossing Spell
(to break a curse)

In a sachet, combine the following herbs: St. John's Wort, sage, calamus and dragonsblood powder. Set the sachet aside for later. Fill an incense brazier with dragonsblood incense. On your altar, you will need an athame, a whole ripe lemon, 1 white and 1 black candle, a bowl of salt and a bowl of water. You will also need a glass or ceramic plate to set the lemon on when you are done. Do not use paper or wood.

Light the candles and the incense. Hold the lemon in both hands and visualize it magnetized and drawing the negative spell away from you. Dip your athame in the water then slice the lemon into three pieces. Set the athame aside and visualize the lemon drawing the negativity away from you and into the pulpy fruit. Repeat the following:

As sour as this lemon be
Charged and cut in pieces three
With salt and water I am free
Uncross me now, I will it be.

Let this lemon do it's task
It's cleansing power I do ask
As this lemon dries in air.
Free me from my dark despair.

Uncross! Uncross! I break his curse.
But let not my simple spell reverse.
I wish no ill, nor wish him pain
I wish only to be free again.

Take each lemon slice and dip it in the salt, making sure it is well coated. Set the slices back on the altar and say:

As it is my will, so mote it be!

Leave the lemon pieces on the altar where they can dry. Once dry the spell is complete and the lemon can be thrown away or buried. If however the fruit rots instead, you must repeat the spell. While waiting for the fruit to dry, keep the sachet with you at all times. It will help to protect you from the effects of the spells and turn away any negativity sent in your direction.


Purification Spell (To Break a Curse)
This is a "heavy-duty" purification spell.

On the night after the full moon and just before bed, light 13 candles, preferably white. Fill the tub up with hot water (as hot as you can stand to sit in). Add 1 cup sea salt, 1 tablespoon sage, 1 tablespoon lavender and 1 tablespoon chamomile. Turn off the water and let the bath steep in the herbs. Kneel or sit in front of the tub, in the nude, and repeat this incantation:

What was done was done
Be it now undone
By the light of the full moon's wane
Cleanse my soul of taint and stain
Let now my hurtful spell reverse
And lift from me this vicious curse
As I enter now this sacred space
Return my spirit to it's grace

Enter the bath and let the water cleanse away the effects of the curse. Use your hands to gather up the water and pour it 3 times of your head. Each time you do, repeat:

Accept my apologies for what was done
Disperse my spell with the morning's sun

Remain in the bath until the water cools. Drain the tub and rinse off. Snuff the candles and go to sleep. By dawn the curse will be broken and you will once again find that feeling of "blessedness" that you lost.



Spell to Overcome an Enemy

Two cuts are made on a lime, one horizontally and the other vertically, ensuring that one does not cut the lime in four pieces. In the middle of the lime one places a piece of parchment paper with the victim's name on it. The lime is then held closed with two long, steel pins, and placed in a new plain glass, together with some salt, vinegar, and ashes. The ashes and the salt are believed to destroy the enemy's attempts to cause trouble, while the lime and vinegar will sour his own affairs.

Fertility Spell

A couple wishing to conceive a child should come together when the woman is in the fertile part of her cycle. Coordinating this with any of the other timings will improve the potential for success. Decorate the area for your spell in green and yellow. Set up an altar with the image of a pregnant woman in a central position to represent the Mother Goddess. Also place a seedling from any hardy plant nearby. Make sure both participants are well rested, healthy and calm before beginning.

Next sit in front of the altar and light a candle together to symbolize your shared hope. Dedicate a moment of prayer to your household God/dess, then begin breathing in unison, and extending your senses to each other. Chant quietly in unison, "Fertility, grow in me." Allow this phrase to get louder as passion grows. Let nature take her course.

Finally, the couple should take the seedling somewhere to grow in rich soil that won't be disturbed so the magic can likewise root. This spell can be repeated anytime you're trying to conceive. It also may be used to smooth the course of adoptions by making the appropriate changes in the verbal component. In this case the sexual union extends loving energy to find the right child.

This spell can also be applied to unproductive areas of your life to encourage progress.


Bones of Anger Hex
An Evil Curse

Gather bones of chickens and dry them in the sun for a few days.
Then when you are ready to do this hex make sure you are worked up into a frenzy of anger and hatred.
This will add to the potency of your hex! Be thinking of all this while doing this hex and when it says
'With these bones I now do crush"
take a hammer or use your feet to stomp and crush these bones as if they were your enemy before you!
When you are done sweep them up and place them in a bag.
You will then want to sprinkle the dust and remains of the bones on your enemies property around his house.

Breaking a Run of Bad Luck
A Charm Bag for Breaking a Run of Bad Luck

Make or buy a small draw-string bag about 1-2 inches deep. Put in a pinch or two of each of the following:

Angelica root
African Ginger
Fennel seed
Holy thistle
Clove
Basil

Add a small citrine to the pouch and you have a powerful sachet. During the full moon, put the bag together, then consecrate and charge it. Make certain it is tied tightly. Keep it close to your heart.


Dream Magick

If you find you need a little help in lucid dreaming, or you want to learn the answer to a specific problem, this charm bag is a great tool. It soothes the waking mind and helps your sleeping mind to focus.

Make or buy a small draw-string bag about 1-2 inches deep. Put in a pinch or two of each of the following:

peppermint
cinnamon
lemon verbena
marigold
vervain
hops

During the full moon, put the bag together, then consecrate and charge it. Make certain it is tied tightly. Before sleep each night, rub the bag over your third eye (center of forehead) and concentrate on the question, problem or situation. Then place the bag under your pillow. Continue to concentrate on the situation as you drift off. When you wake, jot down whatever you remember in your dream journal. Your question should be answered within the first few nights. Remember dreams can be symbolic or literal.

This pouch can also help increase your skill at lucid dreaming, by keeping your mind focused on the fact that you are just dreaming.


The Realization Spell

Spell to Make Someone Realize and Feel the Hurt They Caused You


Write the person's name and what they have done to you on a small piece of paper.
Light it from an alter candle and drop it to burn away in the cauldron.
Stand before the alter, the ashes in your right hand, and say:

Wolf and horse, old signs of might.
Lend your strength to me this night.
The pain and grief they so easily give,
Must be returned so they may live,
To know and feel what they have done,
And change their ways, with harm to none.
Send back the pain, teach them this night,
And help them to do what they know is right.

Go outside, and throw the ashes to the winds, knowing that they will realize what they have done to you.


Spell to Banish Personal Negativity

We have all from time to time experienced feelings and thoughts that there is a negative force around us. To banish these feelings you will need the bowl of water and the salt. Sprinkle some salt on the altar cloth and, using your finger or your Athame, say,

"I bless this salt to make it fit for these my rites. Blessed Be."

Now add a little salt to the water and hold the bowl up towards the sky. Visualize your past relative being present and say

"I ask ... (say the relative's name) to let this bowl be the receiver of all my negativity, so that I can cleanse myself and became whole again once more. Blessed Be."

Place the bowl down safely, dip the fingers and thumbs of both hands into the water, and visualize all your negative thoughts and feelings moving through your body, down through your arms and out of your hands into the water. As you do this be aware of yourself becoming lighter, of losing the weight that has been on your mind.

When you are sure that this is completed, remove your hands, shaking the last drops of water from them into the bowl. Take a moment to centre yourself once more, and again, holding the bowl up, say,

"I ask ... (say the late relative's name), to take this negativity through their power of the Elements to keep me safe in their hands. Blessed Be."

Now throw away the contaminated water into the earth, but not near any plants that you are trying to grow, or down the drain.


Spell to Find Something that is Lost

Concentrate on the item you have lost and recite these words at length:

What is lost, must now be found
Take my luck and turn it around)

Repeat three times.

(Works BEST during a full moon but does work at other times)
 

Herbal Spells for Money, Prosperity, Success, a Job, Courage, and Youth

Scullcap: To inspire others to give you money, place some scullcap in a small saucer and moisten it with money mist, or money drawing oil. Get a ball of green cord or yarn and wind it around your "nest egg" of scullcap and oil, winding until the herb is completely covered and secure. Tie the cord so that the ball will not unwind and hang above the doorway. All those who enter will become possessed with an unreasonable desire to bring gifts and money to your home. Anoint the ball every seventh day with a few drops of the oil to preserve it's powers.

Smartweed: To find money, one should make a conjure bag containing a magnetic horseshoe, and a lodestone to attract and draw wealth to you, and some smartweed to to enable you to see how to capture it and hold it without being led astray by unprofitable distractions or foolish delays. Feed your money bag with a sprinkle of Gold magnetic sand every third day until you find the amount you need.

Lavender: A lucky money spell is made by placing in a conjure bag seven pieces of money, each different, such as a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, a half dollar, $1.00 bill, and $5.00 bill, all of which are sprinkled liberally with lavender. Take the bag with you for seven days and your money should multiply seven times (this would give you $41.46 above your original investment ) or, in some instances if the gods are smiling in your direction, seven times seven! This would result in a tidy sum of $338.50 and seems well worth trying for!

Lucky Hand Root: To get and hold a job, always carry a lucky hand root on your person. Use lucky nine oil on your wrists each day for nine days, and burn some John the Conqueror incense each night. These roots bring luck in all undertakings and no conjure bag would be considered complete without one. The hands are usually imperfect, but this does not affect their value as a talisman. The ones which are formed so that all five fingers are distinguishable are very rare and therefore extremely expensive.

Yellow Dock: Brew a tea with a spoonful of this herb to a cup of water, strain, and use to wash door knobs at your place of business to draw customers, or at home to attract good fortune.

Buffalo Herb: A long-lived belief is that the possessor of this gains courage he never had before and a strength beyond his expectations. Carry it in a small red bag and anoint the bag every seventh day with Master oil.

Vervain: For everlasting youth, this spell must be performed when the moon is full.. Go outdoors and light one black candle. Take a chalice of water to which you add salt, and two spoonfuls of Vervain. Mix thoroughly and dip into this water a piece of petrified wood. Pass the rock through the flame of the candle and chant:

"Candle, herb, rock, water, salt,
Hear me as my song is sung,
Age is not my hearts desire,
It is youth to which I aspire,
Candle, herb, rock, water, salt."

Repeat the ritual and chant seven times. As each chant is said, touch the rock in turn to first one foot, one hand, one shoulder, crown of the head, and then down the other side of the body to shoulder, hand and foot. When the spell is finished, take the rock immediately to the nearest river, beach or stream and throw it in.

Place a small amount of each herb into a green glass jar with a cork. You may add a special stone if desired. Ask the Goddess and Gods for their attention and blessing. Use whatever words or actions are appropriate for you. Shake well and set in your kitchen window (or in a window of any room where you have a lot of traffic). This specific Strega Jar is designed for protection of you and your home. From time to time, shake the jar and smell the aroma on the cork to remind you that you are protected.



Money Spell Bottle

Items needed:
5 old pennies
5 dimes
5 quarters (or, five each of three denominations of your country's coin currency, if outside the United States)
5 kernels of dried corn
5 sesame seeds
5 cinnamon sticks
5 cloves
5 whole allspice
5 pecans
Place each item into a thin, tall bottle, such as a spice bottle. Cap it tightly. Shake the bottle with your projective hand for five minutes while chanting these or similar words:

Herbs and silver,
Copper and grain;
Work to increase My money gain.

Place the money spell bottle on a table somewhere in your house. Leave your purse, pocketbook, wallet and/or checkbook near the bottle when at home. Allow money to come into your life.

Write at the top of the letter:


"Thou who are mourned, see now the nature of this mourning: As thou knowest now my sorrow, so on this paper I affirm it. 4. Now write your feelings, emotions, devotion, memories, love, etc.

6. Seal with herbs
7. Burn in a fire.

Confidence in Social Situations

Make or buy a small draw-string bag about 1-2 inches deep. Put in a pinch or two of each of the following:

Nutmeg
Pine needles
Dried Lavender
Piece of Mandrake root

Carve your initials and a pentagram on the mandrake root and tie the bag closed. During the waxing phase of the moon, consecrate and charge the bag. Wear it around your neck or keep it in your pocket. You will feel a surge of energy whenever you are in a social situation.


Simple Wish Spell

Put three candles in the highest place you have at home, inside a plate with sugar all around the candles. Light the candles. Ask for three wishes to the angels ST. RAFAEL, ST. MICHAEL, and ST. GABRIEL. Ask one wish for business, one wish for love, and one impossible wish. Publish this spell on the third day after you requested the wishes (by mailing it to another person, posting it to a usenet newsgroup, or announcing your thanks to the saints in a newspaper classified ad) and see what happens on the fourth day...
